A Renewal Retreat for Nurses
The next renewal retreat will take place in 2022. Upcoming dates will be announced soon.
The last 20 months have been immensely challenging. Nurses have responded to the pandemic with care and commitment. Space is now needed to come together and metabolize our experiences.
This uplifting retreat will provide nurses with opportunities for integrative learning, renewal, and restoration TOGETHER in one of the prettiest tied-island communities in Maine.
This day-long retreat is for you if…
- You want to gather with fellow nurses who have gone through similar struggles
- You value your mental health and well-being and want to protect yourself from vicarious trauma
- You’re eager to learn the science of stress resilience along with regulatory practices, tools, and resources
- You’re open to learning new capacities enabling us to individually and collectively flourish–even in the midst of adversity
- You value time to connect with yourself, fellow nurses, and the beauty of the sea, freshwater ponds, and a pristine wildlife sanctuary
We’ll gather at a peaceful spiritual center (this is not a religious retreat) dating back to the late 1800’s when it was an oceanfront hotel. The retreat will begin at 9:30 am and conclude at 3:30 pm allowing time to see the full moon rising if you wish.
Space is limited. The cost of $175 includes evidence-based and experiential learning, supportive circle conversations, lunch, and a simple afternoon tea. The latest research on burnout is positive for agency, coherence, and camaraderie—to include eating meals together. We will activate these capacities. Time will allow for a meditative walk in nature and writing to heal. No one will be turned away due to cost.
Vaccines are mandatory for this event. For those wishing to extend their retreat at Biddeford Pool, overnight arrangements can be made through the center.
