Resilience Retreat for Nurses

Join a small group of nurses for a one-of-a kind retreat experience.

We’ll stay at a peaceful spiritual center on the ocean in one of Maine’s prettiest summer colonies. Together we’ll build resilience. There will be time to walk on the beach and the trails at East Point Audubon Sanctuary.

The retreat begins Friday evening, July 13 at 7pm and concludes Sunday, July 15 at noon. Space is limited! Register and reserve your place by July 2, 2018.

DETAILS:

When:  Friday July 13, 7pm–Sunday, July 15, noon

Where:  Marie Joseph Spiritual Center, Biddeford Pool, Maine

(This is not a religious retreat) The spiritual center was originally a hotel in the late 1800’s and later a boarding school. The center is now owned and operated by an order of nuns. Margaret Wheatley has said that the strongest women on the planet are nuns. She even coined the term, “If you want it done, give it to a nun.” Sounds like nurses.

Joyce MorrissetteFacilitator and Host Joyce Morrissette, BSN, RN is a holistic nurse, speaker and well-being educator for clinicians. She authored the book, Receive, So You May Give: A Self-Care Path for Nurses. Prior to becoming a nurse consultant, Joyce coordinated clinical research in Boston and worked for 25 years as a psychiatric nurse. Her advanced training includes completing Dr. Andrew Weil’s Integrative Health and Lifestyle Program for healthcare professionals at the Arizona Center for Inrtegrative Medicine. Joyce is a Martha Beck trained life coach and a mind body medicine facilitator. She’s a native of Maine and has lived on the tied island of Biddeford Pool.

 

Jean Ellsworth-WolkGuest Coach Jean Ellsworth-Wolk, RN, APRN, AOCNS has been an oncology nurse for 39 years and an advanced practice nurse for 32. She works as a Cancer Survivorship program coordinator at a regional Cleveland Clinic Hospital where the main focus is self-care. Jean is a Martha Beck certified life coach who teaches patients and nurses how to achieve higher levels of happiness and purpose.
